Requirements for Abortion & Fetal Loss Doulas: 

• Complete an approved Full Spectrum Training 

• Have a phone interview with our director

• Complete clinic requirements if applicable 

• Complete the LA Doula Project volunteer agreement 

• Be able to commit to a minimum of 4 hours a month for a six month period

 

Requirements for Birth and Postpartum Doulas: 

• Complete an approved Birth and or Postpartum doula training 

• Be able to get to your client's home or hospital in Los Angeles County within an hour at any given time.

• Have reliable childcare for the entire time on call, if applicable. 

• Have a phone interview with our director 

• Complete the LA Doula Project volunteer agreement 

• Be able to commit to either one birth or a 12 hour shift every six months for birth doula support or a minimum of 6 hours a month for postpartum doula support
